Running E-commerce – a look behind the scenes

I often wonder what people do all day when they are in a profession or industry I am interested in.

Just so I can get an idea of what’s actually involved in doing what they do or running a similar business.

So, here you go, a look at a day in my business.

Got in in the morning, knowing that most of the day, I would have to fend for myself.
One full timer has a double hernia, so can not work more than one hour per day. Has been like that for the last 3 months. All the while – by law – I am still paying him 70% of his wage.

The other full timer has a day off, as a holiday.

My part timer doesn’t come in today,, work only 3 mornings per week.

10.00 – meeting with a supplier that has been courting us for a while.
Seems like they have some interesting products that can compliment our range – he’ll send me a proposal by next week

2 pallets of goods come in from different suppliers.
One part is our new range of products under our own label – exciting, as the margins are good and there’s no competitve pressure ...
